The Centre for Sports and Human Rights joins the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children in an event that follows the presentation of the Annual Thematic Report of the UN Special Rapporteur on the Sale and Exploitation of Children to the United Nations General Assembly. The theme of her 2021 Report is on the gender dimension of the sexual exploitation of children and how gender stereotypes adversely affect the vulnerability of boys and children who identify outside the gender binary. The focus of the event will be on the sale and sexual abuse and exploitation of boys in sport.
This event will share the findings and recommendations of the Report related to the sale and sexual abuse and exploitation in sport of boys and children who identify outside of the gender binary. It will share good practices and practical examples of replicable interventions that have been made to protect children in sport and promote the respect and protection of the rights of boys and children who identify outside the gender binary.
